A Study on the Trigger Point Therapy in the working conditions of Massage therapists

Abstract
This study aims to investigate how health belief of adult female users of the fitness center affect health-promoting behavior through trigger point therapy. The proposed model is based on Health Belief Model of Janet G. et al. It is important to note that trigger point work is not generally promoted as an exclusive type of bodywork when looking at continuing education. A fitness center, clinical settings like a chiropractic clinic, for example, may need a therapist to provide a session of strictly Trigger Point Therapy whereas a sports clinic or private practice may integrate Trigger Point Therapy into a full body massge. The intent of this article is to discuss the evolving role of the myofascial trigger point (MTrP) in myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) from both a historical and scientific perspective. For this study, multiple references regarding the working conditions and services in fitness center were investigated. This study is targeted to professional therapist of Trigger point therapy and suggest that fitness center conditions are effective tool for the better service. The aims of this study were to describe the practice patterns of trained Korean massage therapists in Korea private practice, with regard to therapist characteristics; practice modes and settings, and therapy characteristics; referral patterns; and massage therapy as an occupation.
